In an otherwise pitiful season, the Los Angeles Lakers can lean on one bastion of past glory that will keep the fans distracted from the porous brand of basketball that has marked the 2013-2014 NBA season. While Kobe Bryant got hurt again and the team filled with players you likely never heard of, you can at least look at the sidelines and a see sight for sore eyes: the Laker Girls. Since the 1980s, these gals have entertained Laker fans from The Forum to Staples Center, and outside of winning basketball and celeb sightings, the Laker Girls were one of the main reasons for casual basketball fans to go to games to at least...check out their terrific choreography and tight dance moves? Right.
These are some of the beautiful cheerleaders and dancers in the NBA. While they have may not be some of the greatest Lakers of all time on the court, others may be to differ. Yes, the Lakers have awful this season, and yes, we can blame Mike D'Antoni for their failures on the court along with Jim Buss in the front office, but we'll always have the Laker Girls, right?
